Life Lately...

Time has escaped me and I haven't blogged for quite a while. Here's what's happening (briefly): Matt and I went on a short trip top Colorado to see if it could be our new home. We loved it! Of course, nothing can happen without him getting a job out there. Whether it's there, here, or somewhere else, I'm ready to buy a home for our expanding family. We'll see where God leads us.

Kylie is getting so big! She talks (though it's hard to understand unless you're mommy or daddy), loves books being read to her, enjoys spinning, and rolling on the ground. She is very serious when first meeting people or when she's somewhere new.
Here are some pictures to accompany life lately...

Happy 1st Birthday Kylie!

This past Saturday, August 27th, we had the joy of celebrating Kylie's 1st birthday! She was a little under the weather, but we still had fun celebrating with close family members and friends. Jamie...we missed you! This blog post is for you! Matt, Grandma, and Grandpa....somehow I didn't get pictures of you! SOOOOO sorry! Thank you grandma and grandpa for letting us so graciously borrow your home!

We had delicious salads and pizza as our meal

Candy bar, cake, and snacks

There were quite a few kids (not all pictured)
Would you believe Kylie was the ONLY non-blonde!

Having fun in the pool!

"I'll just shove this piece in my mouth if you don't mind..."

Lazy Pool Days

We've had a fun summer so far filled with lazy pool days with many friends. The Leonards joined us one day. We bbq'd and had fun in the sun!

Love this family!

We also went swimming at Grandpa and Grandma Gomez's house one day:)

Pirates beware!

The Bartons also joined us one evening. We had pizza, went swimming, and had a Monopoly Deal challenge!

And yet, another day Emily and Angela invited us over for a playdate. Angela has transformed her garage into baby heaven!

Emily and Kylie enjoying a nice afternoon

Beautiful Emily

Sweet Kylie moved in and out of the pool with no help from mama!

Unfortunately, I forgot to take my camera along when the Higgins came over:(  Thanks to all our friends and family who have made this an enjoyable summer! (And thanks to my sis who bought Kylie that stylin' bathing suit!)

4th of July!

I'm a little late, but sometimes, with a little one, I don't always have time readily available;) This year we had a fun, food-filled 4th of July spent with friends we call family.
BBQ'ing some yummy food!
Protein, Protein, Protein! Does he speak another language?

One little one in the water, one testing it out...
Who doesn't want to spend time with these precious munchkins?

Daddy and Kylie...so cute!:)

Everyone participated in the BBQ!...eating that is!

Having a deep conversation..

Some played an action- packed, speedy game called Pounce...

Settling down and enjoying time together

We had an awesome time and even though we didn't get to see the fireworks because we had to put little Kylie to bed, our day and tummies were quite full!
