Easter!

We had a fantastic Easter this year! We started off by going to a wonderful church service at our church, The Vine. The teaching focused on God sending his son to die for our sins and his resurrection. His resurrection! How many times have I celebrated Easter and really focused on the importance of the day? I am ashamed to say that this year is my first year REALLY and TRULY understanding the importance. Yes, I've recognized that God has risen and we are atoned for our sins because of Him, but this year was different. I don't know how to quite explain it, other than my heart and mind were humbled this year. I hope yours was too and that Jesus is in your heart.

After church, we went to my in-laws, otherwise known as Grandma and Grandpa Gomez. Kylie practiced her standiing skills:

And she was loved on by Grandma and Grandpa Gomez:

We had a delicious Easter dinner that my wonderful mother-in-law made which included ham, potatoes, salad, corn, and bread (not to mention the delicious apple pie dessert).

While Kylie took her nap, my amazing husband livened Easter up by creating a fun Easter egg hunt!...adults only. There were 2 rounds. The first took place in the front yard:

I see a little Kylie in Grandpa's face...

Matt told us the stepstool was there if we needed it...

Gotta get that egg!

Kidnapping!

With Matt hiding the eggs, you never know where they might be...

Round 1 over!...and the winner is.....

I don't know if you can really call me the winner though...some of the
eggs had nails and screws. Remember...Matt hid the eggs AND
filled them...

The LOSERS:

After Round 1, we went inside to color some eggs:

Then, it was off to Round 2 of our Easter Egg hunt in the backyard:

Some of the eggs were filled with dirt, trash bags, peanut butter,
and egg yolk! Yuck! That Matt...

But one egg had a clue for the MEGA Prize!!

And the winner is:

No, I did not cheat! The prize included Whoppers, Reese's Pieces, M & M's
and a giant Lipton Iced Tea. Don't worry...I shared.

We had a fantastic time and I'm grateful my husband is weird, crazy, and spunky!

Hope your Easter was as fun and crazy as ours was!

7 Months!

It's been a while since my last blog...with our move to Rancho, we have been extremely busy. The last month and a half was spent preparing for the move and the last week and a half was spent unpacking and getting organized. BUT...back to the real reason for blogging...Miss Kylie.

She is now 7 months old (getting bigger and bigger by the minute!), is full on crawling, has 4 teeth, and even tries to stand on her own!
I just realized she looks a little cross-eyed here...don't judge her:)

This little girl keeps me busy! She is a baby on the go! I am fortunate to have many friends with babies so Kylie has lots of friends.

With our move to Rancho, we have been taking lots of walks and going to the park (EVERYTHING is so close and beautiful..we LOVE it)!

Kylie even had her first trip to the spa (just her little feet).

I think she is trying to give me a kiss:)

Matt and I have enjoyed watching this little one grow. She is so active and so fun to be around!

Kylie and her furry friends

Kylie has developed a love for Bella, our dog, and Layla, our kitty. She squeals in delight when they come around, giggles, and constantly wants to pet them. It is so fun to watch her! Here are a couple videos of her and her furry friends:) The second one is my favorite!

Giggles!

Many of you who know Kylie know how serious she is when she is in a new place. She is very observant and likes to take everything in. Here is a different side of her- many of you haven't seen her giggle like this. I LOVE hearing her giggle...it makes me giggle too!

Mt. Rubidoux

A couple weeks ago we went on a family hike up Mt. Rubidoux. The weather was great and their were many scenic views. We enjoyed spending time together, getting some family exercise, and the fresh air!
